The objective of this project is to develop a software simulating 3D tubular organs as lungs or brain. This software should allow to generate cylindrical networks considering some criterion of size, quantity, angles, etc. It should provide two outputs: the discrete tubular object (in voxels) and the mesh of its convex hull. Should be checked the correctness of cylinder intersections. After the tubular generation, some disturbances will be applied, also parametrized, in order to make the simulation more realistic.
The final objective of this simulator is to allow to test algorithms developed by OS3D research group on a wide range of simulated neuronal and pulmonary networks.

Works
All image processing softwares use a layer manager (The Gimp, OpenStreetMap, etc.) This manager allows to:
- visually overlay of multiple images
- show/hide each layer
- choose the transparency level of each layer
- merge multiple layers by choosing the mode: addition, product, etc.
The objective of this project is to design and develop tool to manage layers as plugin of an image processing and analysis software developed by OS3D research group. Add this tool will help to the manual segmentation and will allow to modify existing segmentation "intuitively and ergonomically".
